Brought to you by The Danish Rock Council (ROSA), SPOT Festival and Music Export Denmark the 5th version of SPOT On Denmark in Brussels will take place on 30 November at Ancienne Belgique and will be headlined by an international hype phenomenon: teenage punks Iceage – praised by the likes of New York Times, Pitchfork and NME.

Cologne in December
Meanwhile SPOT On Denmark teamed up with the C/O Pop festival in Cologne and added the Rhine metropolis to its continuously expanding list of European destinations. The first SPOT On Denmark in Cologne will take place on 14 December at Stadtgarten and its programme will be curated by Intro, Stadtrevue, Kölncampus, 1LIVE, C/O Pop and Stadtgarten.

Ralph H. Christoph Head of Strategy at C/O Pop commented:

“Cologne is an important city when it comes to music and music business in western Germany: a lot of labels, musicians, clubs, as well as a broad range of media companies are based here. Last but not least Cologne is the home of the C/O Pop festival which has been attracting the last eight years a lot of foreign visitors from e.g. France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Music from Denmark plays an important role in general, so Cologne is the perfect place to represent and showcase! C/O Pop has already shown how to present unknown bands and artists to a bigger audience. Many bands who have played C/O Pop at an early stage of their careers – such as Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire or The Whitest Boy Alive – have reached world reputation. The audience is aware of this fact and have developed trust in our choice. At the end of the day it’s the quality that counts. And with SPOT we’ve found the perfect people to work with on this agenda.”
